African Wildlife Foundation
African Wildlife Foundation is African led, addressing local, national and global threats to wildlife and biodiversity including poaching, habitat loss, infrastructure development, and the illegal wildlife trade. They work at multiple levels from communities to governments to develop resilient wildlife economies that benefit communities and contribute to national economies.
Amphibian and Reptile Conservation
Amphibian and Reptile Conservation conserve amphibians and reptiles, and the habitats on which they depend, to protect them for future generations. Their work benefits other species that have similar habitats, as well as the volunteers involved in conservation and monitoring work. As a charity with 35 staff, they work with around 500 volunteers each year through opportunities that enhance their lives.
Bumblebee Conservation Trust
The Bumblebee Conservation Trust is a UK based charity that was established in 2006 due to serious concerns about the 'plight of the bumblebees'. In the last 80 years bumblebee populations have crashed. Two species have become nationally extinct and several others have declined dramatically. Their mission is to increase the number and distribution of bumblebees.
Chengeta Wildlife
Chengeta Wildlife (CW) is a wildlife conservation charity that delivers long-lasting, effective, and ethical anti-poaching solutions in the most challenging environments. Our mission is to develop sustainable solutions to protect the integrity of important natural ecosystems, wildlife populations, and the human communities dependent on them. In addition to training local anti-poaching units, CW forms collaborative partnerships with communities to support locally driven initiatives that promote community well-being and ecological conservation.
Durrell
Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust is an international charity working to save species from extinction. Headquartered at Jersey Zoo in the Channel Islands, Durrell’s vision is for a wilder, healthier more colourful world. Established by author and conservationist, Gerald Durrell, in 1959, Durrell’s overall aim is for more diverse, beautiful and resilient natural landscapes in which species can thrive and people can enjoy a deeper connection with nature. Their approach concentrates on the rewilding of animals, the rewilding of ecosystems and the rewilding of people.

Through their five groundbreaking programmes, they empower people to take meaningful and purposeful action to help create a more sustainable world. They are recognised by UNESCO and UNEP as a world-leader within the fields of Environmental Education and Education for Sustainable Development.

The Marine Conservation Society fights for the future of our ocean through people-powered action – with science on our side. Today, the ocean is in poor health because of human activity. They’re determined to change this, working with communities, businesses and governments. For more than 30 years, they’ve been the voice of the sea, defending the coastal habitats and species. They work towards a cleaner, better-protected, healthier ocean.

The Shark Trust is the UK charity dedicated to safeguarding the future of global shark and ray populations through positive change. This is achieved through science, education, influence and action. With science at its heart, the work of the Trust addresses threatened species conservation, fisheries management and responsible trade.
Young People Partners
IntoUniversity
IntoUniversity is an award-winning charity providing local learning centres that inspire young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their full potential. They have been working in the heart of deprived communities since 2002, and now operate 31 centres and extension projects in thirteen UK towns and cities. IntoUniversity’s mission is to bring Higher Education, or another chosen aspiration, within the reach of students from the UK’s poorest homes, thereby improving their long-term prospects and helping lift them out of poverty. At each IntoUniversity centre, students aged 7-18 participate in a holistic programme of support, designed to raise aspirations, broaden horizons, improve attainment, develop soft skills and provide experience of the world of work - ultimately supporting students to have successful futures.
The Mix
The Mix is the UK’s digital safety net for young people. They provide free, anonymous advice and crisis support designed especially for under 25s. The Mix is open 24 hours a day. They listen, answer questions and make connections for young people using the online and mobile platforms that they turn to first. The Mix is unique in bringing together young people with experts and their peers to talk about everything from drugs to body image, from education to relationships, all with a focus on supporting positive mental health.
Prince’s Trust
The Prince’s Trust works with young people aged 11-30 who are unemployed, struggling at school or facing challenges such as mental health issues, disabilities or homelessness. Our mission is to help young people transform their lives by developing the confidence and skills to succeed.
Reach Out
ReachOut is a mentoring charity working with children in disadvantaged communities to raise aspirations and help them grow in character and competence. We improve self-confidence and develop numeracy, literacy and communication skills, whilst reinforcing our core values of Fairness, Good Judgement, Self-Control and Staying Power. We do this through one-to-one mentoring with positive role models and team activities, to promote leadership, trust and responsiblity.
Safe and Sound Homes
SASH’s mission is to help young people (16-25) avoid homelessness across North and East Yorkshire by offering a place to stay in the homes of volunteers, keeping them safe at a time of crisis. We support them to change their lives and build a positive future. Our ambition is that those we help never face homelessness again.

At Step by Step we support local young people who are going through hard times. We take a unique step by step approach, providing accommodation, personal development opportunities, and specialist services. Our approach helps young people to identify and fulfil their aspirations.
